Frank McKenney, 84, of Piggott, died Friday, Aug. 27, 2004, at his home in Piggott.

He was born Nov. 30, 1919, in Piggott. He was the son of the late James Onia and Elizabeth Fox McKenney.

He was united in marriage to Opal Permenter on Oct. 6, 1939. They had four children.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, James O. McKenney Jr. and Howard McKenney; three step-brothers, Leroy French, Eugene French and Sonny French; and one step-sister, Madeline Chase.

He is survived by his wife, Opal McKenney of Piggott; three sons, Roger McKenney and wife, Margie, of Piggott, Lowell McKenney and wife, Deanne, of Rector and Gary McKenney and wife, Gwen, of Pollard; one daughter, Brenda Fielder and husband, Rick, of Cabot; 10 grandchildren, Lynnette Beard, Delayne McKenney, Brian McKenney, Brandye Lucas, Trae Peacock, Brent Ezell, Melissa Brown, Jeff Fielder, Rachel Morgan and Garrett McKenney; seven great-grandchildren, Alex McKenney, Cody and Justin Peacock, Ethan and Mary Elizabeth Lucas, Gretchen Morgan and Bryant Underwood; one sister, Dora Causey of Piggott; one brother, Ansil McKenney of California; and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 29, 2004, in the Hitt's Chapel General Baptist Church with Anthony Dowdy and Charles Richardson officiating. Burial followed in the Piggott Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Delayne McKenney, Trae Peacock, Brian McKenney, Garrett McKenney, Jeff Fielder, Mike Beard, Mark Morgan, Dustin Lucas and Brent Ezell.

Hoggard and Sons Funeral Home of Piggott was in charge of the arrangements.
