Charlene Talley Long

Charlene Talley Long, 65, of Paragould died Wednesday, Dec. 29, 2004, at Regional Medical Center of NEA in Jonesboro.

She was born June 8, 1939, in Opal, Ark., to the late Charlie and Emma Talley. She was a former cashier at Western Sizzlin Steak House and a member of the Assembly of God Church.

She also was preceded in death by one son, Pastor Ed Long, and several brothers and sisters.

Survivors include her husband, Bobby Long of Paragould; one son, Gene Long of California; one daughter, Diane Wing of Barling, Ark.; one brother, Louie Cordell of Rector; seven sisters, Donna Edwards and Lottie Blackshear, both of Paragould, Dorothy Byrd of Fort Smith, Myrtle Ferguson and Louise Shelton, both of Rector, Rosie Modlin of Beebe and Margie Priest of California, and three grandchildren.

Funeral services were at 1 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 2, at Mitchell Funeral Home Chapel in Rector with David Shrable officiating. Burial was in Woodland Heights Cemetery in Rector with Mitchell Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
