Mike Okawa

Mike Okawa, 78, of Rector Healthcare died Sunday, Dec. 26, 2004, at St. Bernards Regional Medical Center in Jonesboro.

He was born March 12, 1926, in El Centro, Calif., to the late Sakuzo Okawa and Tomi Iba Okawa.

He was a construction worker and an Army veteran.

He also was preceded in death by his wife, Dolly (Pruitt) Okawa, on Oct. 26, 2004.

He is survived by four brothers, Chester Okawa of Oceanside, Calif., Kaz Okawa of Los Angeles, Calif., John Okawa of Montbell, Calif., and Lamar Okawa of Las Vegas, Nev.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, Dec. 30, at Irby Funeral Home Chapel in Rector with Rev. Larry Martineau officiating.

Burial was in Woods Chapel Cemetery near Paragould with Irby Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
