Nell Brown

Nell Brown, 93, of Rector, died Thursday, Dec. 30, 2004, at Twin Rivers Medical Center in Kennett, Mo.

She was born Dec. 28, 1911, in Greenville, Mo., to the late Henry Lovins and Margaret Scritchfield Lovins and was married March 29, 1930, to Earl T. Brown, who preceded her in death on July 3, 1980.

She also was preceded in death by one son in infancy; one daughter, Earlene Brown; two brothers, Ed and Bud Lovins, and two sisters, Ellen Carr and Mae Jackson.

Survivors include three sons, Gaylon Brown of Byhalia, Miss., Paul Brown of Rector and Denver Brown of Sikeston, Mo.; three daughters, Bonnie Brown of Rector, Brenda Rogers of Walker, La., and Billie Clayton of Rector, 14 grandchildren and numerous great and great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 2, 2005, at McDaniel Chapel in Kennett with Rev. Bobby Carter officiating. Burial was in Oak Ridge Cemetery in Kennett with McDaniel Funeral Service in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers were Gary Redmon, Calvin Murrell, Perry Deshotel, Harold Burdin, Bill Ward and Mike Forte.

Honorary pallbearers were Charles Beck, Ken Forte and Mike Morgan.
