Rudy Earl McCord

A retired farmer and Darling Store Fixtures employee, he was born Aug. 21, 1911, in Rector to the late Charles M. and Lucy Bookout McCord. He also was preceded in death by one brother, Amzie McCord.

Survivors include his wife of 70 years, Clara L. McCord of Rector; one son and daughter-in-law, Robert Earl and Debbie McCord of Peach Tree, Ga.; two daughters and one son-in-law, Betty Joe and Tom Porter of Lead Hill and Linda Sue Parks of Paragould; one brother, William Orville McCord of O'Fallon, Mo.; a sister-in-law, Aileen McCord of Rector; five grandchildren, Linda Wabkowski and husband John of O'Fallon, Mo., William Lawson Porter of Alpharetta, Ga., Joe S. Mims of Oxford, Miss., and Amanda L. McCord and Rebecca L. McCord of Peach Tree, Ga.. and seven great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 18, at Mitchell Funeral Home Chapel in Rector with Futrell Butler officiating. Interment was in Woodland Heights Cemetery in Rector. Mitchell Funeral Home of Rector was in charge of arrangements.
