Eula Earlene (Vangilder) Barnes

Eula Earlene (Vangilder) Barnes, 85, died Thursday, May 5, 2005, at the Ave Marie Home in Memphis, Tenn.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lee; her parents, Luther and Ottie Vangilder, and three brothers, Loyd, Aubrey and Doyle.

She is survived by one step-son, David Barnes; a sister, Edith Leach of Weiner; one brother, E.J. Vangilder of Rector, and six grandchildren.

Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Sunday, May 8, under the direction of the Memphis Funeral Home, Germantown Parkway Chapel. Burial was in Memory Hill Cemetery. She was a member of the Central Baptist Church.

Pallbearers were Thomas Leach, Travis Varnes, Andy Vangilder, Dale Vangilder, Evan Spann and Robert Spann.

The family requests that any memorials be sent to the American Cancer Society.
