Thomas Hatcher

Thomas Hatcher, 74, of Road River, Ore., formerly of Rector, died Tuesday, Sept. 6, 2005, in Road River.

He was born Aug. 5, 1931, near Marmaduke to the late Dewey and Ines Hatcher.

He was a carpenter by trade, a veteran of the Army, having served in Korea, and a member of the First Baptist Church in Hardy. He was loved by all who knew him and was a true servant of the Lord.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Clifton Hatcher, and one sister, Marie Hatcher Hubble.

Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Shirley Gregory Hatcher of the home; one son, Dewey Hatcher; one daughter, Nancy Rumble; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two sisters, Sarah White of Marmaduke and Wyona Clement of Paragould; two step-sisters, Joann Johnson of Oregon and Louise Fry of Paragould; one step-brother, O'Neal Thomas of Paragould, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends across the U.S.

A memorial service will be held Friday, Oct. 14, in Road River.
