Kenneth Smith

An accident recently claimed the life of Kenneth Smith, 48, of Paragould, pastor of East Side (Holly Island) Baptist Church in Rector.

Smith, who also was a painter, fell from a scissor lift while working. He died Tuesday, March 21, at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis.

Survivors include his wife, Sally, of the home; sons, Robert Andrew, Kenneth Daniel, Jonathan Michael and James David Smith; daughters, Amanda Michelle Smith, Laura Ann Smith Manuel and Christina Lynn Smith, all of Paragould; his parents, Bob and Pat Smith of Paragould; a brother, Rob Smith of Rector, and a sister, Julie Williams of Jonesboro.

Funeral services were at 1 p.m. Friday, March 24, at Heath Colonial Chapel in Paragould with Rev. Junior Vester and Rev. Jeff Richardson officiating. Burial was in New Friendship Cemetery.
