Dora Ovizine Watson

Dora Ovizine Watson, 88, of Rector, died Thursday, May 18, 2006, at UAMS in Little Rock.

Born May 31, 1917, in Rector to the late Russell Williams and Luella (Hoil) Williams, she was a housewife and a member of Antioch Baptist Church.

She was married to James Ruel Watson in Dunklin County in July 1939.

Also preceding her in death were a son, Charles Watson; five brothers, and two sisters.

Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, James and Darla Watson of Rector; two brothers, Ruby Williams of Piggott and Wheeler Williams of Rector; one sister, Reba Smith of Rector; four grandchildren and their spouses, Charlotte and Doyne Vangilder of Marmaduke, Todd and Sandra Watson, Cindy and Anthony Buck and Mark and Jodie Watson, all of Rector; eight great-grandchildren, Mitch Vangilder, Jerry Vangilder, Brittany and Matt McClung, Logan Buck, Garrett Buck, Tyler Watson, Hadleigh Watson and Case Watson, and three great-great-grandchildren, Landon McClung, Mattie McClung and Kaylee Vangilder.

Funeral services were at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, May 21, at Irby Funeral Home Chapel in Rector with Rev. Marston Carpenter officiating. Burial was in Woodland Heights Cemetery in Rector with Irby Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers were Logan Buck, Jerry Vangilder, Anthony Buck, Matt McClung, Denver Williams and Marvin Midkiff. Honorary pallbearers were Tyler Watson, Garrett Buck and Case Watson.
