Clay County Times-Democrat: Obituaries: Enos Oscar Pollard (08/31/06)

Enos Oscar Pollard, 86, of Rector, died Friday, Aug. 25, 2006, at Piggott Community Hospital.

Born Jan. 29, 1920, in Carryville to the late Ray and Lee Pollard, he was a farmer and of the Church of Christ faith.

Also preceding him in death were his wife, Flossie Pollard; five brothers, Joe, Sylvester, Duward, Floyd and Hulen Pollard; one sister, Mary Bell Pelts, and one grandchild.

Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Franklin and Sue Stidham of Greenway; four daughters, Carol Sue Brown of Ravenden, Betty Johnson of Patterson, Wilma Guiltner and Glen of Jonesboro and Connie Lindley and Ron of Jonesboro; several nieces and nephews, 12 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were at 10 a.m. Monday, Aug. 28, at Mitchell Funeral Home Chapel in Rector with Richard Adkins officiating. Burial was in Nimmons Cemetery with Mitchell Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers were his grandsons.
