Thelma Birdwell

Thelma Birdwell, 69, of Kennett, Mo., died Monday, Oct. 30, 2006, at Twin Rivers Regional Medical Center in Kennett.

Born July 5, 1937, in Harrisburg to the late J.W. Settlemire and Rosie Morris Settlemire, she was a retired waitress.

Also preceding her in death were a daughter, Alma Joyce Rowland; brothers, Joe, William and Cecil Settlemire, and two sisters, Cordelia Ledbetter and Beatrice Duckworth.

Survivors include two sisters, Nancy Martee of Kennett and Jannie Crouch of Brinkley; one grandchild, Lerine Rowland, and one great-grandchild, Torrell Bryant of Kennett.

Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 2, at Irby Funeral Home with Elaine Harris and Judy Conder officiating. Burial will be in Mitchell Cemetery at Greenway with Irby Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
