James Beaton

Born Oct. 14, 1927, in Rector to the late Walter and Leona Beaton, he was a retired farmer and of the General Baptist faith.

Also preceding him in death were one brother, Wayne Beaton, and one sister, Onedia Ward.

Survivors include his wife, Eloise Beaton of the home; one son, James Randal Beaton of Paragould; one daughter and son-in-law, Peggy Kay and Gary Saffell; one brother, Howard Beaton of Marmaduke; one sister, Shirley Doughterty of Catowasso, Mo., and seven grandchildren, Sherrie Thomason, Darin and Joey Wright, Brigetta Letson, Edward Saffell, Kimberly Webb and John Thacker.

Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 9, at Mitchell Funeral Home Chapel in Rector with Bro. Sam Book officiating. Burial was in Harvey's Chapel Cemetery with Mitchell Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers were his grandsons.
