Barbara Sue Burns

She was born May 23, 1933, at Knob to the late Robert and Eugenia Huckabay. She also was preceded in death by her husband, Cleatus H. Burns; a brother, Wendell O. Huckabay; a sister, Genell Huckabay, and a grandson, Nicky Burns.

She was of the Methodist faith and had worked as a certified nursing assistant (CNA) at Corning Nursing Home.

Survivors include three sons, Cleatus D. Burns of Columbia, Tenn., Edward H. Burns of Corning and Robert W. Burns of Lafe; one daughter, Sherlie Ann Harmon of Lafe; one sister, Elba Massey of Flint, Mich., seven grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. today (Wednesday, Nov. 22) at Mitchell Funeral Home Chapel in Rector with Bro. Mark Massey officiating. Burial will be in Rock Springs Cemetery at Knob.

Pallbearers are David Arnold, Doug Householder, Kevin Graham, Bob Morris, Darrell Arnold and Michael Brown.
