James T. Weatherford

James T. Weatherford, 92, of Rector died Monday, Feb. 19, 2007, at St. Bernards Regional Medical Center in Jonesboro.

A retired maintenance worker, he was born Feb. 1, 1915, in Greene County to the late Arville and Rosie (Wilson) Weatherford and was married July 5, 1946, in Paragould to Dortha Beaton Weatherford. He was a veteran of World War II and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and Disabled Veterans. He was of the Assembly of God faith.

Survivors include his wife, Dorotha Beaton Weatherford of Rector; one son, Terry Weatherford of St. Louis, Mo.; one daughter, Patricia Weatherford of Farmington, Mo.; one grandson, Jason Weatherford of Marmaduke, and two great-grandchildren, Scout and Sophie.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. today (Wednesday, Feb. 21) at Irby Funeral Home Chapel in Rector with Bennie Isom and Tommy Newman officiating. Burial will be in Woodland Heights Cemetery in Rector.

Pallbearers will be Tommy Newman, Tim Jones, James Lyles, Terry Taylor, Ronnie Hicks and Brad Weber. Irby Funeral Home of Rector is in charge of all arrangements.
