Iva Reba Smith

Iva Reba Smith, 92, of Rector died Friday, March 2, 2007, at Arkansas Methodist Medical Center in Paragould.

Mrs. Smith was born April 5, 1914, in Clay County to the late Russell and Louella (Hoil) Williams. She was married to Carl Smith, who preceded her in death May 7, 1996. She also was preceded in death by a daughter, Joyce Maxine Smith; four brothers, Roy, Ben, Granville and Henry Smith, and three sisters, Wilma Shelton, Ruth Stevens and Dora Watson.

She was a homemaker and a member of the Rector First General Baptist Church.

Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Sam and Sue Smith of Rector; one daughter, Mary Ella Smith of Rector; two brothers, R.W. Williams and Wheeler Williams, both of Rector; two grandchildren, Tammy Keller and Neal Smith, and five great-grandchildren, Kristen, Karis, Brian, Kyle and Klay.

Funeral services were at 3:30 p.m. Sunday, March 4, at the Rector First General Baptist Church with Bro. Marston Carpenter officiating. Burial was in Woodland Heights Cemetery in Rector.

Pallbearers were Denver Williams, Kevin Williams, James Watson, David Dudley, R.V. Wesley and Brian Wesley. Irby Funeral Home of Rector was in charge of arrangements.
