Gloria Jean Samford

Gloria Jean Samford, 49, of Leachville died Monday, March 12, 2007, at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro. Born on June 22, 1957, in Victoria, to the late David Stone and Velma Foster Stone, Mrs. Samford was a lifelong area resident of Mississippi County and a homemaker.

Survivors include her husband of 24 years, Frank Samford of Steele, Mo.; a son, Jerry Pemberton of Blytheville; a daughter, LeAnne Galloway of Rector; a sister, Janet Skaggs of Manila; and three grandsons.

Mrs. Samford was preceded in death by her father and brother, David Stone.

The funeral was held at 2:30 p.m. Thursday at the First United Methodist Church in Manila with Rev. Stephen Waggoner officiating. Burial was at the Manila Cemetery with Faith Funeral Service of Manila in charge of arrangements.
