Over the years, he was active in both the Rector and Piggott Chambers of Commerce, the Lions Club, Rotary Club, Civitan Club and the Band Parents Organization and had been a member of other clubs and organizations too numerous to name. He was a Boy Scout leader for over 50 years, receiving the Honorary Silver Beaver Award.
He was born Nov. 2, 1924, in Newark to the late Earl C. and Mattie Lou Cooper Miller. He was a member of the Sunset Church of Christ congregation. He had lived in Nashville for the last four years.
Mr. Miller was preceded in death by his first wife, Theda Cleffie Miller, on Oct. 16, 2002.
Survivors include his wife, Eva Floyd Green Miller of Nashville; four sons, C. Robin Miller of Searcy, and Cleon Green, Floyd Green and Alan Green, all of Nashville; one daughter, LaDonna Curtis of Nashville; two brothers, J. Hale Miller of Boise, Idaho, and Mabrey Lee Miller of York, Neb.; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one brother-in-law, Harvey Robins of Searcy; one sister-in-law, Odean Reynolds of Nashville, and a host of other family and friends.
Funeral services will be at 7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 6, at Sunset Church of Christ in Nashville with David Williams, Cleon Green and C. Robin Miller officiating. Graveside services will be at 11:30 a.m. Friday, Dec. 7, at Wiles Cemetery in Ash Flat. The family will receive friends Thursday night from 5:30 until service time at the church.
