Lawrence Beckwith

He was born Sept. 11, 1925, in Pollard, the son of the late James and Dottie Ball Beckwith.

He was also preceded in death by three sisters, Zora Ray, Dovie Yow and Sara Lee Starks, and a brother, Franklin Beckwith.

Survivors include his children, Lena Bryant of Union, Miss., Linda Beckwith of Rogersville, Mo., Eugene Beckwith of Blytheville, Pam Evans of Springfield, Mo., and Angie Kremeskie of Rogersville, Mo.; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; sisters, Gertrude Beecher of Ellington, Mo., Sylvia King of St. Charles, Mo., Rhonda Payne of Corning, Madeline Wright of Fredericktown, Mo., Betty Noles of Piggott, and Louetta Mauldin of Pollard; brothers, James Beckwith of Doniphan, Mo., Ernest Beckwith of Godfrey, Ill., Daniel Beckwith of Greenville, Ill., and Doyle Beckwith of Poplar Bluff; along with many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held Friday, March 28, in the Hoggard and Sons Chapel with Travis Hollingsworth officiating. Burial was in Post Oak Cemetery at McDougal. Pallbearers were Donald Calhoun, Brett Beckwith, Bobby Bryant, Jack Evans, Jeff King and Junior Beckwith. Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home of Piggott was in charge of the arrangements.
