Dr. Donald Jones, 68, of Rector died Monday, April 7, 2008, at his home.

Dr. Jones was born Sept. 26, 1939, to the late John Donald and Vera (Williams) Jones. He was preceded in death by his wife, Denise G.M. Jones.

He was a member of the Rector First United Methodist Church and had retired from social work, public administration and counseling children. He was an Air Force veteran of the Cuban conflict.

Survivors include a son, Matthew Sean Jones of Atlanta, Ga.; a daughter, Renee Anne Jones of Sherwood; a sister, Mary Ella Taylor of Rector; a grandson, Zackary Alexander Hall of Little Rock, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, April 10, at the Irby Funeral Home Chapel in Rector.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, April 11, at the Irby Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be in Woodland Heights Cemetery in Rector.
