Louise Barker Merrill

Louise Barker Merrill, 87, of Albuquerque, N.M., formerly of Rector, died Saturday, April 5, 2008, in Albuquerque.

Born Dec. 26, 1920, in Rector, she had worked as a church bookkeeper.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Carrie (Arment) Barker; her husband, Paul Merrill, and one son, James Merrill.

Survivors include one daughter, Carol Merrill of Corrales, N.M., and three grandchildren, Issa, Abraham and Amanda Merrill.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, April 10, at Mitchell Funeral Home Chapel in Rector with Fred Barker officiating. Burial will be in Woodland Heights Cemetery in Rector.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until service time.

Pallbearers will be Ronnie Moore, Ted Hoke, David Cagle, Todd Barker, Justin Gramling and Doug Ingram. Honorary pallbearers will be Dwayne Moore, Darwin Cagle and Wayne Ingram.
