Kathy Ann Tilmon

Kathy Ann Tilmon, 46, of Greenway and formerly of Braggadocio, Mo., died Wednesday, April 16, 2008, at the Twin Rivers Regional Medical Center at Kennett.

She was born June 9, 1961, in Hayti, the daughter of Jack Lawhorn and Delores Moyers Gray. She married John Tilmon June 25, 1995, in Braggadocio.

She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who loved arts and crafts and playing with her grandchildren. She will be remembered as a very outgoing person who never met a stranger, and was a member of the Union Home Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Delores Gray; a sister, Tony Jean Brown, and her grandparents.

She is survived by her husband, John Tilmon of Greenway; a daughter, Keri Smart and husband Shannon of Piggott; two grandsons, Chandler and Jacob Smart of Piggott; her father, Jack Lawhorn of Steele, Mo.; a sister, Sherry Ferrell of Cape Girardeau; a sister-in-law, Irene Stow and husband Donnie of Braggadocio; two brothers-in-law, Joe Tilmon and wife Lisha of Braggadocio and Jim Tilmon and wife Theresa of Hayti; three nephews, Joseph and Josh Tilmon of Braggadocio and Eric Tilmon of Hayti; four nieces, Emily Sweet and husband Ben of Braggadocio, Amber and Autumn Pierce of Steele and Britany Shaver of Kennett. She also leaves dear friends Judy and Ivan Smart of Greenway and John and Rosa Hensley of Steele, along with a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held Saturday, April 19, in the John W. German Funeral Home Chapel in Hayti with Rev. Davey Winberry officiating. Burial was in the Piggott Cemetary. Pallbearers were Jason Boyster, Ben Sweet, Donnie Stowe, Eric Tilmon, Jim Tilmon and Joe Tilmon. John W. German Funeral Home of Hayti was in charge of the arrangements.
