Clifford Featherston, 83, of Marmaduke died Monday, April 21, 2008, at Arkansas Methodist Medical Center in Paragould.

Born July 19, 1924, in Clay County to the late John and Myrtle (Hubble) Featherston, he was a farmer and enjoyed showing horses and working with bird dogs.

Also preceding him in death were a son, Denver Featherston; a brother, Dallas Petty; a half-brother, J.T. Featherston, and a sister, Carleen Twitty.

Survivors include his wife, Clara Mae Featherston; three daughters, Teresa Hutchins of Bella Vista, Marsha Kinsey of Springfield, Va., and Lorna Stewart of Piggott; three grandchildren, Derek Stewart, Delayne Easterwood and Sherri Easterwood; three great-grandchildren, Darren Peterson, K.J. Merchant and Candace Easterwood; two brothers, Ralph Featherston of Piggott and Ray Featherston of Greenway; one sister, Wynell Wesley of Turlock, Calif.; one half-sister, Evelyn Fanning, and a host of other family and friends.

Funeral services were at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, April 24, at Irby Funeral Home in Marmaduke with Arvil Hill officiating. Burial was in Woodland Heights Cemetery in Rector with Irby Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
