She was born May 27, 1931, in Greenway to Leo and Ova (Wilkes) Baty and they preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by a son, Richard Rogers. She was a long-time Sunday school teacher at the First Baptist Church of Festus/Crystal City, worked as a Pink Lady at JMH, loved to garden and loved her children and grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband, Carl B. Rogers of Festus; sons, Carl Rogers and wife Judith of Festus, Kerry Rogers and wife Diane of Festus and Dennis Rogers and wife Betty of Hillsboro, Mo.; daughters, Shriley Wilson and husband Vincent of DeSoto, Mo., Janet Emily and husband Anthony of Sullivan, Mo., and Marilyn Frazier and husband Rob of Festus; a brother, Fred Baty of St. Charles, Mo.; a sister, Joann Dowd of Hermitage, Tenn., and daughter-in-law, Kathy Rogers of Festus.
Funeral services were held Saturday, April 26, at the Mahn Twin City Chapel in Festus with Pastor Tim Baker officiating. Burial was in the Peaceful Ridge Cemetery at DeSoto. Mahn Twin City Chapel was charged with the arrangements. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the First Baptist Church of Festus/Crystal City.
