She was born on Jan. 16, 1923, in Guy, Ark., the daughter of the late James Elmer and Cora Ann (Hooper) Steward.
She was united in marriage to Charles Wesley "Pete" Potts on Sept. 5, 1942, and the couple had three children.
She was a member of the First General Baptist Church of Piggott.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Amos and James Steward, and five sisters, Modena, Ida, Grace, Elva, and Pearl.
She is survived by her husband Pete; three children, Peggy and husband Jimmy Neeley of Dallas, Sonny Potts and wife Charlotte of Greenway, and Randy Potts and wife Mona of Piggott; six grandchildren, Greg, Wesley, Christy, Emily, Katie and Caleb; three great-grandchildren, Payton, Ashlyn and Presley; a brother, Norman Steward of Piggott, and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, May 6, in the Hoggard and Sons Chapel with Rev. Jack Cole officiating. Burial was in Mitchell Cemetery in Greenway. Pallbearers were Greg Neeley, Wesley Potts, Caleb Potts, Jimmy Hemann, Jim Duty and Don Denny. Hoggard and Sons Funeral Home of Piggott was charged with the arrangements.
