All four teams representing the South Region have advanced to the semifinals, which will be played here Monday.
In games Saturday afternoon, which just beat the rain, Parkers Chapel edged Western Yell County, 1-0, in eight innings; two-time defending state champion Foreman pounded Johnson County Westside, 14-1; Junction City blitzed Woodlawn, 19-1, and Dierks blanked McCrory, 9-0.
Foreman will meet Junction City at 4 and Parkers Chapel will face Dierks at 6 in semifinal action.
The state championship game will be played at 4 p.m. Saturday, May 17, at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville.
