She was born June 20, 1916, in Carryville, the daughter of the late James Onia and Elizabeth Fox McKenney.
She was united in marriage to Homer Causey on Sept. 26, 1931, and the couple had six sons and three daughters.
She was a member of the Emmanuel Baptist Church in Piggott.
Her husband, Homer Causey, preceded her in death on Aug. 20, 1973. She was also preceded in death by her son, Gaylon Causey; sons-in-law, Bill Beckley, Calvin Johnson and Mitchell Johnson; daughter-in-law, Wilma (Johnson) Causey; three brothers, Frank, Howard, and Junior McKenney; three step-brothers, Sonny, Leroy, and Bud French; and a step-sister, Madalene.
She is survived by her children, Donald Causey and wife Twila of Walnut Ridge, Bob Causey and wife Irene, Delmar Causey and wife Faye, Ira Causey and wife Totsy and Jerry Causey and wife Pat, all of Piggott, Thelma Johnson of El Dorado, Ark., Martha Thompson and husband Doran of Rector, and Mary Kay Johnson of DeSoto, Mo.; an adopted son, James English and wife Alma of Barnhart, Mo.; 32 grandchildren; 23 step-grandchildren; 62 great-grandchildren; nine step great-grandchildren; 19 great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Ansil McKenney and wife Ann of California; two sisters-in-law, Opal McKenney of Piggott, and Verlene McKenney of St Louis; and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held Saturday, May 17, in the Emmanuel Baptist Church in Piggott, with Kim Bridges officiating. Burial was in Williams Cemetery. Pallbearers were grandsons, Mike Causey, Darrell Causey, Joey Causey, Myron Johnson, Russell Johnson, Neal Causey, Keith Causey and Kevin Causey. Hoggard and Sons Funeral Home of Piggott was in charge of the arrangements.
