Samuel Beauford Miller

Samuel Beauford Miller, 63, of Pollard died Tuesday, May 27, 2008, at St. Bernards Regional Medical Center in Jonesboro.

He was born Oct. 18, 1944, in Kennett, the son of the late J.B. and Mattie McCamey Miller.

He was married to three amazing women --- Mae Hooks, Juanita Gillia, and Patricia Ford.

He is survived by eight children, Sam Miller of Jenson, Mich., Twolla Miller Collins of Jacksonville, Ark., Eugene Miller of Beechmont, Ky., Samuel Miller Dunaway of Little Rock, Tony Miller, a.k.a. John Bennett, Jr. of South Haven, Mich., Julia Freeman of Holland, Mich., Jessie Hagar of Mountain View, and James Miller of Piggott; 19 grandchildren; 12 step-grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; three brothers; five sisters, and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held Friday, May 30, in the Hoggard and Sons Chapel with Jamie Miller officiating. Burial was in New Hope Cemetery in Pollard. Pallbearers were Cory Hager, Cody Hager, James Stivers, Jr., Nick Miller, Mike Freeman, Johnny Collins, Matthew Bullinger and Patrick McNabb.

Honorary pallbearers were Danny Hager, A.J. Hager, Seth Freeman, and Matt Miller. Hoggard and Sons Funeral Home of Piggott was charged with the arrangements.
