Marion D. Parks, 72, of St. Louis, died Tuesday, July 22, 2008, at his home in St. Louis.

He was born Jan. 24, 1936, in Cooter, Mo., and was the son of the late Homer D. and Bessie (Parham) Parks. Also preceding him in death were his sisters, Eva Dee and Hazel May.

He is survived by his son, Kenneth J. Parks of St. Louis; his brothers, Elvis Eugene Parks and wife Carol of Piggott and Jerry Lee Parks and wife Judy of Jonesboro; his sister, Margaret Louise Pery of Steele, Mo.; and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held Friday, July 25, in the Hoggard and Sons Chapel with Kevin Murray officiating. Burial was in Piggott Cemetery. Pallbearers were Perry Starnes, Zack Starnes, Sam Ward, James Featherston, Willard Rainey and Terry Rainey. Hoggard and Sons Funeral Home of Piggott was charged with the arrangements.
