John Richard Gordon

John Richard Gordon, 60, of Paragould, died Saturday, Aug. 2, 2008 at his home. He was a truck driver and minister of the gospel for 30 years. He served as an elder at the South Thornton Church of Christ in Piggott.

Survivors include his wife, Arvalla Gordon, of the home; daughters, Rie Mashburn of Walnut Ridge and Shannon Gordon of Paragould; a son, John Gordon; two grandchildren, Karina and Kenny Mashburn; his father, John "Pete" Gordon of Piggott; two brothers, Phil Gordon of Paragould and Joe Gordon of Bay; and a sister, Tammy Cashion of Piggott. His mother, Grace Gordon, preceded him in death.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, Aug. 6, at the South Thornton Street Church of Christ in Piggott with Michael Cox officiating. Burial was in the Piggott Cemetery.
