Byron "Bill" Kilbreath

Byron "Bill" Kilbreath, 79, of McDougal, died Sunday, Aug. 3, 2008, at his home.

He was born June 1, 1929, in Crockett, and was the son of the late William Bill and Adar (Nettles) Kilbreath.

He was united in marriage to Mary Scheffler on Dec. 1, 1948.

He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Donna Kay Kilbreath, and five brothers, Scotty, Porter, Harold, Russell Paul and Howard Kilbreath.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Kilbreath of McDougal; a son, Danny Kilbreath and wife Theresa of McDougal; granddaughter Kennie Rae Williams; grandson Marcus Kilbreath and wife Darla; two great-granddaughters, Madison Williams and Allison Kilbreath; a great-grandson, Wesley Kilbreath; a brother, Warner Kilbreath, and a sister Sylvia Shepard, both of McDougal, and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, Aug. 5, at the Hoggard and Sons Funeral Home in Piggott with Donald Grissom officiating. Burial was in the New Hope Cemetery at Pollard. Pallbearers were Dennis Scheffler, Gary Scheffler, Steve Foster, Marvin Kilbreath, Aldon Kilbreath and Marcus Kilbreath. Hoggard and Sons Funeral Home of Piggott was charged with the arrangements.
