Donna Roofe

Donna Roofe, 56, of Corning, died Saturday, Aug. 2, 2008, at St. Bernards Regional Medical Center in Jonesboro. She was born Aug. 9, 1951, in Piggott to the late Howard Arlon Spicer and Ercell Madgeline (Vowell) Spicer. She married Doyle Ray Roofe May 5, 1991. She was a 1969 graduate of Corning High School, attended church at the Corning "Y" Pentecostal Church of God and worked at Wallace and Owens in Corning.

She was preceded in death by her father, Howard A. Spicer. Survivors include her husband, Doyle Roofe; a son, John Howard Day of Peach Orchard; her mother, Ercell Spicer of Corning, a brother, Rick Spicer of Little Rock; two step-sons, Jeremy Roofe and Chris Roofe of Corning; a step-daughter, Lea Landreth of Biggers and a host of family and friends.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, Aug. 5, in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel in Corning with Rev. Pat Wilbourne and Rev. Bud Owen Little officiating. Burial was in the Woodland Heights Cemetery at Rector. Ermert Funeral Home of Corning was charged with the arrangements.
