Alonzo Parrish

Alonzo Parrish, 93, of Paragould, formerly of Knob, died Sunday, Aug. 10, 2008, at Arkansas Methodist Medical Center in Paragould.

He was born July 30, 1915, to the late Robert and Julia Parrish and was married April 18, 1936, to Fredonia Mobbs.

He worked as a farmer and at the Boydsville Gin for many years.

He is survived by his wife, Fredonia; one daughter, Joyce McDaniel of Paragould, five grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 12, at Irby Funeral Home in Rector with Bro. Eldon Parrish officiating. Interment was in Woodland Heights Cemetery in Rector.
