A small fire was quickly controled at Piggott city hall

There were some tense moments Tuesday morning at the Piggott City Hall, after a small blaze of undetermined origin broke-out in a storage area at the rear of the building. The fire, which was contained to an area in what was formerly the main fire station, did little damage but did fill the building with smoke. Luckily the fire did not spread from the immediate area, thanks in part to quick action by Kurt Williamson of the Piggott Police Department who first attacked the blaze with a fire extinguisher.
