Betty Earlene Walls

Betty Earlene Walls, 61, of Paragould, formerly of Marmaduke, died Saturday, Aug. 16, at her home. She was born in Marmaduke to the late Clyde Farmer and Reolla (Shelton) Farmer. she was of the Baptist faith, a wife, mother and homemaker.

Also preceding her in death were a granddaughter, Brittany Newell; two brothers, Arlin and Bill Farmer, and three sisters, Sylvia Eckles, Cleslie Quinn and Ruthie Johnson.

Survivors include her husband, Dewayne Walls of the home; one son, Larry Walls and wife Teresa of Paragould; two daughters, Connie McDowell and husband Nicki of Marmaduke and Tammy Newell of Rector; five grandchildren, Tyler McDowell, Keisha Walls and Emily Walls, all of Marmaduke, and Corey Rogers and Tawnee Rogers, both of Paragould; one great-grandchild, Gavin Walls of Paragould; three brothers, Robert Farmer of Searcy, Bob Farmer and Wade Farmer, both of Marmaduke; two sisters, Louise Farmer of Strawberry and Lavonia Damon of Paragould, and many other loving family members and friends.

Funeral services were at 3 p.m. Monday, Aug. 18, at Irby Funeral Home Chapel in Marmaduke with Brothers Gary Morris and Kim Bridges officiating. Burial was in Hartsoe Cemetery in Marmaduke with Irby Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers were Stefan Braden, Dennis Farmer, Charles Hampton, Rodney Hampton, Mark Quinn, Darrell Taylor and Ricky Faulkner. Honorary pallberaers were Danny Barnhart, Claude Farmer and Jerry Defries.
