John Edward Wright

John Edward Wright, age 80, of Rector died Monday, Aug. 18, 2008, at Arkansas Methodist Medical Center in Paragould.

The son of the late William Alonzo Wright and Edna (Willard) Wright, he was born Aug. 23, 1927 in Clay County. He also was preceded in death by his wife, Willadean Galyean Wright, on May 1, 2008, and a sister, Ilene Manchester.

He was a member of the Rector First Baptist Church and was a retired truck driver.

Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Ed and Nancy Englehardt of Ruston, Va.; a grandchild, Tare Hollants; two great-grandchildren, Julian and Olivia Hollants, and a niece, Lisa Manchester of Rector.

Visitation will begin at 11:30 a.m. Thursday at the Rector First Baptist Church and continue until the funeral service begins at 2 p.m. at the church. Rev. Ardell Polk will officiate. Burial will be in Woodland Heights Cemetery in Rector.
