Alma Louise Blake

Alma Louise Blake, 80, of Piggott, died Monday, Sept. 1, 2008, at Heritage Nursing Center in Kennett, Mo.

She was born April 21, 1928, in Piggott, to the late Jessie A. and Edith A. (Miller) Crow and was married Sept. 3, 1949, to Samuel A. Blake Jr., who preceded her in death in 1996.

Her infant son, Larry Jessie Blake, also preceded her in death.

Survivors include her daughter, Gail Daugherty and husband James of Kennett; her grand-dog, SammiJo, and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were Thursday, Sept. 4, in Hoggard and Sons Chapel with Kim Bridges officiating. Burial was in Piggott Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Blake Tanner, Brant Tanner, Barry Johnson, Charles Adams, Scot Sale and Dennis Blake. Hoggard and Sons Funeral Home of Piggott was in charge of the arrangements.
