Raymond Lamp

Raymond Eugene Lamp, 95, of Piggott, died Thursday, Sept. 4, 2008, at Murphy Health and Rehabilitation Center in Piggott.

He was born July 6, 1913, in Carryville, the son of the late Samuel and Lena (Myers) Lamp.

He was a member of the South Thornton Church of Christ in Piggott, and was a veteran of World War II.

His father and mother; two brothers, Loren Lamp and Clyde Lampp; and two sisters, Velma Lamp and Vernice Jones, preceded him in death.

Survivors include his sister-in-law, Alice Lamp of Piggott; his niece, Judy Lamp of Jonesboro, and a host of neighbors and friends.

Funeral services were held Saturday, Sept. 6, in Hoggard and Sons Chapel with Michael Cox officiating. Burial was in Piggott Cemetery. Pallbearers were Bob Tidwell, Joe Henderson, Mike Eason, Brent Coomer, Eugene Mann, Delmar Causey and Bob Causey with Jerry Whaley serving as honorary pallbearer. Hoggard and Sons Funeral Home of Piggott was charged with the arrangements.
