Rev. Ted Thrasher

Rev. Ted Thrasher, 65, of Warren, MI, formerly of Rector, died Sunday Sept. 14 at Henry Ford Macomb Hospital in Warren.

Born June 3, 1943 in Rector to the late Lafe and Willie Thrasher, he was employed at the Chrysler Warren Stamping Plant and was Pastor of Waltham Avenue Baptist Church.

He was married Sept. 17, 1982 in Warren to Anna Picha , she survives.

Also preceding him in death were his brothers, James, Delmar, Leroy, Denzel and Junior Thrasher; and one sister, Lois Fielder.

Survivors include his wife, Anna of the home; two sons, Steven and wife Sharon Thrasher of Warren and Brian Thrasher of Hazel Park; one daughter and husband, Amy and Tim Barron of Wisconsin; one sister, Veda Mae Cavaness of Rector; and four grandchildren, Steven, Emily, Thalia and Alexi.

Visitation will be held from 2 until 9 p.m. Friday, Sept. 19 at Irby Funeral Home Chapel in Rector.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Sat. Sept. 20 at Irby Funeral Home with Bro.Marston Carpenter officiating, burial will be in Woodland Heights Cemetery in Rector with Irby Funeral Home in charge of arrangement.
