Vadalia Louise Berry

Vadalia Louise Berry, 79, of Jonesboro died Monday, Sept. 29, 2008, at NEA Baptist Memorial Hospital in Jonesboro.

Born Aug. 21, 1929, in Marmaduke to the late Henry and Vina Nelson, she was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include her husband, John Berry of Jonesboro; two sons, John H. Berry of Montgomery, Ala., and Tim Berry of Paragould; two daughters, Mary Catherine Martinez of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Charlotte Perry of Jonesboro; one brother, Max Nelson of Marmaduke; two sisters, Kay Huckabay of Rector and Elizabeth Green of Naples, Fla., eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were at 1 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 9, at Mitchell Funeral Home Chapel in Rector with Steven Sewell and Dale Pulley officiating. Burial was in Woodland Heights Cemetery in Rector with Mitchell Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
