Elizabeth Howard Green

Elizabeth Howard Green, 81, of Naples, Fla., died Tuesday, Sept. 30, 2008, in Florida. Born May 20, 1927, in Marmaduke to the late Henry and Vina Nelson, she was retired from Western Electric and was of the Baptist faith.

Also preceding her in death was a sister, Vadalia Berry, on Sept. 29, 2008.

Survivors include three sons, Duane Green of Colorado, Andrew Green of Indiana and Jonathan Green of California; three daughters, Judy Hamilton of Naples, Fla., Dawn Schlenz of Indiana and Elaine Minton of Texas; one brother, Max Nelson of Marmaduke; one sister, Kay Huckabay of Rector, 16 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were at 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 6, at Mitchell Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Marston Carpenter and Bro. Andrew Green officiating. Burial was in Woodland Heights Cemetery in Rector with Mitchell Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers were Andrew Green, Joe Schlenz, Ronnie Stevens and Robert Hamilton.
