Kenneth Abney

Kenneth Earl Abney, 65, of N.H.C. Nursing Home in Kennett, formerly of Piggott, died Friday, Oct. 10, 2008, at the Twin Rivers Regional Medical Center in Kennett.

He was born Oct. 2, 1943, in St. Louis, the son of the late George Willard and Flora Mildred (Miller) Abney.

He was preceded in death by three brothers, Kenneth Ray Abney, Carl Abney and Lee Abney; and two sisters, Linda Abney and Joyce Barks.

Survivors include a brother, Gaylon Abney of Huntsville, Ala.; three sisters, Jean Dunlap of Little Rock, Rose Williams of Kennett and Donna Hunt of Vinegrove, Ky.; several nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, Oct. 14, in the Hoggard and Sons Chapel. Burial was in the Mitchell Cemetery at Greenway. Hoggard and Sons Funeral Home of Piggott was in charge of the arrangements.
