Catherine Reeder

Catherine Jane Reeder, 79, of Camden, Ark., died Thursday, Oct. 9, 2008, at her home. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Camden and a member of the Hospital Auxiliary, having joined the organization Feb. 28, 2001. She was a faithful volunteer, who willingly and cheerfully served in any area she was needed. She served on the auxiliary board from 2003-2005 as vice-president, from 2005-2007 as president, and was currently serving on the board as past-president.

She always had a cheerful smile and a kind word for everyone.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Wallace Reeder; a daughter, Mildred Lynette Bickett; her parents, Archie and Mildred (Spiers) Searles; and a brother, Carroll Searles. She is survived by her son, Robert Reeder and wife Lynn of Camden; a brother, Clarence Buck Searles of Camden; six grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Saturday, Oct. 11, at Proctor Funeral Home. Burial was in Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
