Scottie Eugene Robertson

Scottie Eugene Robertson, 78, of Piggott, died Monday, Oct. 6, 2008, at St. Bernard's Regional Medical Center in Jonesboro. He was born in Caraway on Jan. 26, 1930, the son of the late Walter and Viola (Kirby) Robertson.

He was married to Virginia Lee Parks on Feb. 1, 1952. He accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior in 1975 and attended the South Thornton Street Church of Christ in Piggott.

He was preceded in death by his father and mother; four brothers, Olen Robertson, Doyal Robertson, Joe Robertson and Carl Robertson; and a sister, Alma Carr.

He is survived by his wife, Virginia Lee Robertson of Piggott; a brother, Raburn Robertson of Mt. View, Ark.; a sister, Freda Smith of Paragould, and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Thursday, Oct. 9, in Hoggard and Son's Chapel with Bro. Richard Atkins and Bro. Mike Chadwick officiating. Burial was in the Piggott Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Chad Goodman, Lonnie Harmon, Bob Tidwell, Jimmy Graddy, Brent Coomer and Ronald Sellers with Dallas Pollard serving as honorary pallbearer. Hoggard and Son's Funeral Home of Piggott was in charge of the arrangements.
