Edna Mills, 85, of Kennett, Mo., a native of Rector, died Sunday, Oct. 26, 2008, at Twin Rivers Medical Center in Kennett.
She was born Aug. 5, 1923, in Rector to the late Earnest McDonald and Lessie Bell (Carpenter) McDonald and was married to Carl M. Mills on Sept. 23, 1939. He preceded her in death on July 9, 2001. She was a member of the Pentecostal church.
Also preceding her in death were a daughter, Sue Jackson, and two half sisters.
Survivors include four daughters, Rozetta Samford and husband Dobber of Holland, Mo., and Dainta Clevenge, Sandra Rushing and husband Harold and Shelia Reynolds and husband Jim, all of Kennett; 16 grandchildren; many great and great-great grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; two brothers, Lonnie Cecil McDonald and Earnest Leon McDonald, both of Rector, and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were at 10:30 a.m. today (Wednesday, Oct. 29) at McDaniel Funeral Home Chapel in Kennett with Gary Andrews officiating. Burial will be in Woodland Heights Cemetery in Rector with McDaniel Funeral Home of Kennett in charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers will be Bruce Wallace, Devon Samford, Shane Rushing, John Hensley, Shawn Clevenger and Charlie Broadway.
