Van Dale Jackson

Van Dale Jackson, 71, of Lake Dallas, Texas, formerly of Rector, died Friday, Oct. 24, 2008, at his home.

Born May 27, 1937, in Marmaduke to the late William and Nancy (Merideth) Jackson, he was in the heating and air business and of the Baptist faith.

Also preceding him in death were his first wife, Carolyn Jackson (Hicks); one daughter, Junann Jackson; one son, Vandy Jackson; three brothers, Lester, Doyne and Denward Jackson, and one sister, Genevie Page.

Surviors include his wife, Beverly Metezer Jackson of Lake Dallas, Texas; one daughter, Belinda Banning of Rector; one son, Jeff Jackson of Lake Dallas; one brother, Charles (Boots) Jackson of Paragould; one sister, Louise Gunn of Rector; one sister-in-law, Irene Snyder of Rector; five grandchildren, Michael Tevlin of Jonesboro, Belinda Baker of Jonesboro, Michelle Braman of Rector and Justin and Hailey Jackson of Lake Dallas; five great-grandchildren, Anthony Tevlin, Alexandra and Ashley Baker, Jason and Jacob Braman, and a host of other friends and relatives.

Private funeral services were held at the First General Baptist Church in Rector with Bro. Marston Carpenter officiating.

A memorial stone will be placed at Woodland Heights Cemetery in Rector.
