Cecil Ray McGinnis

Cecil Ray McGinnis, 81, a lifetime resident of Rector, died Wednesday, Nov. 19, 2008, at his home.

He was born Dec. 14, 1926, to the late W.T. and Ruth (Copeland) McGinnis in Rector. He was a very faithful member of the First United Methodist Church of Rector and will always be remembered for his high stepping walk in his Sunday-go-to-meeting suit on his way to church.

He is survived by one brother, Bill McGinnis, and four sisters, Aileen McCord, Alice Pulliam, Elsie Blackwood and Ruth Beckley.

Funeral services were at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 21, at the First United Methodist Church in Rector with Pastor Velda Bell officiating. Interment was in Woodland Heights Cemetery.
