Bertie Lou Johnson

The daughter of the late Albert Nathaniel and Cora Elizabeth (Tippy) Owens, she was born Sept. 13, 1931, in Patterson, Ark. She had lived in Dexter since 1960. She and her husband had owned Johnson Refrigeration before retirement. She was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include two sons, Mike Johnson of Poplar Bluff and Jason Johnson of Dexter; two daughters, Rhonda Hall of Dexter and Jeanine Bomar of Jackson, Mo.; 14 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Warren Owens of Farmington, Mo., and Bobby Owen of Steele, Mo., and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by one sister, Marie Atnip, and three brothers, Revis, Doyle and Robert Owens.

Funeral services were held Friday, Dec. 19, in the Watkins and Sons Chapel in Dexter with Dr. Bill Vail of Poplar Bluff officiating. Burial was in the Dexter Cemetery. Watkins and Sons Funeral Service of Dexter was in charge of arrangements.
