Aubrey Franklin Edwards

Aubrey Franklin Edwards, 71, of Paragould, formerly of Rector, died Monday, Dec. 22, 2008, at his home after a hard battle with cancer.

He was born Sept. 30, 1937, in Boydsville to the late Benjamin Edwards and Sadie (Milgan) Edwards Burns. He was a retired truck driver with Corn Husker.

He also was preceded in death by one sister, Lavonda (Dutch) Mason, and a nephew, Joe Mason.

Survivors include his wife, Mary (Ellis) Edwards; a son and his wife, Keith and Vickie Edwards of Delta, Colo.; a daughter and her husband, Amanda and Kirby Kent of Paragould; two grandchildren, Dana Edwards and Christopher Kent; a sister, Corene Dowdy of Hayti, Mo., along with many special friends and relatives.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 27, at Irby Funeral Home in Rector with Bro. Gene Day and Bro. Leroy Bozarth officiating. Interment will be in Liberty Hill Cemetery.

Visitation will begin at 6 p.m. Friday at Irby Funeral Home.
