Colton Jeffrey Carr

Colton Jeffrey Carr, 17, of Paragould died Sunday, Dec. 28, 2008, in an accident near Paragould. A senior at Marmaduke High School, Colton was president of the Marmaduke High School Future Farmers of America chapter and was a member of the MHS livestock team. He was of the Baptist faith. He enjoyed everything outdoors, including hunting, fishing and working on his truck. He touched many lives in his 17 years. He lived every day to the fullest and will be missed dearly.

He was preceded in death by his great-grandparents, Launa Burkhart, R.C. Weber, Ben Carr and John and Viola Jackson, and his friend, Kyle Huckabay.

Survivors include his parents, Jeff and Shala Carr, of the home; brother, Colin Carr, of the home; paternal grandparents, Wayne and Shalia Carr of Eureka Springs; maternal grandparents, Donna Jackson of Marmaduke and Randy and Debbie Jackson of McDougal; great-grandparents, Ruby Weber of Rector, Norma Carr of Paragould and Donald "Pete" and Janet Burkhart of Paragould, and aunts and uncles, Kristi and Darrel Thompson and Shannon and Chadisty Jackson.

Visitation was held Tuesday, Dec. 30, at the Marmaduke First Baptist Church. Funeral services were held today (Wednesday, Dec. 31) at the Marmaduke High School gymnasium with Revs. Kim Bridges, David Poe, Tracy Archibald, Kevin Hawley and Bill Muse presiding. Burial followed in New Friendship Cemetery.

Heath Funeral Home in Paragould was in charge of arrangements.
