Piggott Mohawk senior Rob Rice was chosen to the NEA Invitational All-Tournament team at the conclusion of the annual event in Jonesboro recently. Rice had 21 points in just two quarters of play in the Mohawk's first round win over Crowley's Ridge Academy, and finished with 16 points in the Tribe's loss to Rector in the second round.

Also chosen to the squad were--Justin Duke, Coty Banning and Blake McCarroll of Rector; Jacob Nolan of Marmaduke; Tim Nix and Wade Hamilton of Bay; Jordan Hunter and Derek Wooten of Hillcrest; Hunter Limbaugh of Cedar Ridge; Cody O'Guinn of Riverside; Ky Madden of East Poinsett County; Kam Ashabranner and Blake Wheeler of Buffalo Island Central; Kyle Cassidy, Zac Skelton and Hunter Kortan of Armorel; Tevin Howard, Terrance Banks, T.J. Gordon and Demoine Brown of Rivercrest along with Travis Selvy, Parris Jeans, Theo Turner and Terrance Selvy of Turrell.

The Paul Hoffman Sportsmanship Award for this year went to the boy's team from Ridgefield Christian.

Rice, who was All-District and All-State honorable mention for the Mohawk basketball team last year, was also chosen as an All-District selection for his play on last fall's Piggott football team.

This marks the second year in a row that one of the Rice brothers from Piggott has been named to the squad. Last year Rob's older brother, Chuck Rice, was also named to the NEA All-Tournament as a member of the Tribe.
